Developing Fine Motor Skills Through Art

This session blends creative play with OT-informed activities that strengthen the little muscles that matter most. Each class focuses on:

• Cutting with Confidence (Snip & Shape Paper Sculptures)
• Tracing & Gripping (Stenciled Line Drawings)
• Lacing & Threading (Yarn-Weaving Cards)
• Pinch & Precision (Sticker & Dot Art)

Designed by someone who knows child development inside and out, these activities help boost dexterity while still being wildly fun.

Taught by local artist and muralist Brittany Latimore, this preschool art series blends creativity with early developmental skills. Brittany brings a unique background as a self-taught muralist (featured at Virginia MOCA’s ARTlab, ViBe District, and local favorites like Starbucks on VB Blvd, Beach Vodka, and Prince Tea House), a licensed occupational therapy assistant, a former preschool teacher at The Goddard School, and a beloved former nanny—making her the perfect mix of heart, hands-on expertise, and artistic inspiration.
